李白与峨眉山
文人游山，例必有诗。名山的风貌，往往可借名篇佳句的传诵，深入人心。在古代著名的诗人中，和峨眉山最有联系的是李白和苏轼。李白在峨眉山游历半年之久，留下了不少诗篇，表达了诗人对峨眉的崇敬和向往。其中《登峨眉山》就是一首：
蜀国多仙山，峨眉邈难匹。
周流试登览，绝怪安可悉。
青冥倚天开，彩错疑画出。
泠然紫霞赏，果得锦囊术。
云间吟琼箫，石上弄宝瑟。
平生有微尚，欢笑自此毕。
烟容如在颜，尘累忽相失。
倘逢骑羊子，携手凌白日。
这是历史上第一首正面描写峨眉山的诗，“蜀国多仙山，峨眉邈难匹。”巳经成为人们谈论峨眉山经常引用的名句；峨眉山之所以能成为名山，这首诗大概也起到了一定的作用。
峨眉山被李白视为故乡，他对峨眉山月也是一往情深。曾作过一首《峨眉山月歌》：
峨眉山月半轮秋，影入平羌江水流。
夜发清溪向三峡，思君不见下渝州。
诗人去蜀远游时，对峨眉山月恋恋不舍的惜别之情，以及他对峨眉山月的深情切意，通过此诗尽显无遗。
